New IRS Email Scam

To KOS Clients and Friends:

Most people are aware of email scams from imposters from foreign countries that are asking you to provide banking information so that you can be wired the 4 million dollar inheritance.

The scams continue to grow and the latest to be aware of are emails from the IRS. Currently, the IRS NEVER sends emails to taxpayers. If you receive an email from IRS, you should delete it immediately.

KOS to Participate in the Regions PCCS Private College & Schools Financial Aid Conference in Denver

KOS Partner Ben Darcy will be speaking and exhibiting at the Region 8, 9 & 10 Conference in Denver on March 23-24, 2015.  This is the conference represents the career colleges and schools in the western part of the country.

The Regions PCCS goal is to organize conferences and trade shows throughout the country for private career school owners and financial aid administrators and provide a common ground to meet and exchange ideas in education, business and compliance issues.

Tax Internship - Spring 2015 Position Function: Tax Public Position Description: Working at KOS means tackling tough problems for our clients and developing creative solutions. You won't be bored here. What you will find is a firm where your ideas are welcomed and your individuality is recognized. You will be challenged by the work, your team, and the needs of our clients. We are seeking individuals who want to advance their skills with 0-3 years of experience. The position would start mid-February and would extend thru April 15th. Schedule is flexible, averaging around 20 hours/wk. The position consists of preparing primarily individual and business tax returns. Position Qualifications: Basic Accounting Courses and at least one Taxation course required. ProSystem Tax software experience preferred, though not required.
